Autumn crocus, end of September

Not a perfect photo, but these are autumn crocuses....back again. They grow over by the Metro parking lot.  There were some fabulous mushrooms with them, but somebody mowed the lawn yesterday, and the mushrooms are gone.  That's what happens with nature around here:  lawnmowers!  What a plague.

Darn - didn't know you had another blog. God, I can hardly keep up with one.

LP: Thanks for stopping by! My blogs are not much to keep up with these days, as I'm spending most of my time trying to get rid of my doppelganger on FB. But come sunrise especially, do check out the HenCam, which is at the top right.

Linda: They were especially lovely yesterday, and my Iowa friends, one of whom is a spectacular gardener, were thrilled. They did not know there were autumn crocuses, either! I'll get a better photo!

LP: Actually, I have more than two, but these are the only active ones.
